CMRNPUC is a Co-educational Pre-University College, offering courses in Science, Commerce and Humanities.

 

Our History

CMR National PU College, HRBR Layout, was established in 1999 as a tribute to Sri Chikkamuniyappa Reddy, a visionary with a practical mission. It was his sincere belief that education is the catalyst to the growth and development of any society. Today CMRNPUC is a well-recognized educational institute with a reputation of producing achievers.

CMRNPUC Rules and Regulations

1. TIMINGS

  • College timings are from 8:15 am to 1:45 pm on weekdays and from 8:15 am to 11:30 am on Saturdays. Students are to be present in their classrooms by 8:10 am or else the child will be marked absent.
  • If a student is a habitual late comer, parents will be called and the student will be sent home.
  • Students are expected to go home and not to be seen loitering around the locality in uniform after college hours.

2. ATTENDANCE

  • The I and II PU final exam is conducted by the PU Board, which requires 75% of attendance, but the college strictly insists on 85% of attendance. In case of shortage of attendance the student will not be eligible for the board exams. The board accepts up to 3 days leave based on medical certification or a personal permission letter from the board requested by parents for special cases.
  • As per PU Board, a first PU student who has been detained due to shortage of attendance will not be eligible to write the supplementary exam or will not be promoted to II PU and he/she will be required to take re-admission and repeat I PU with the next batch of students in case he/she would like to continue in CMRNPUC.
  • Attendance of the student in all the classes during the first week of the start & last week of the end of academic year and on reopening after holidays is compulsory.
  • If a student is absent he/she should submit a leave letter to the class teacher with the signature of parent/guardian. 
  • Leave will not be granted for weddings/birthdays/social functions & urgent business.
  • Request for half day leave will not be granted. Once the students enters the college premises parents/guardians are not permitted to take him/her back home during college hours, unless an emergency for which principal’s permission is mandatory.
  • Students remaining continuously absent for more than 10 consecutive days without prior intimation is liable to be excluded from the rolls.
  • During exams, if the student is absent without prior permission he or she will be given a zero for that days exam. In case prior permission is obtained or a medical certificate sent in, the child will be marked absent. Parents should submit the leave letter personally to the class teacher.
  • Kindly note that no retest or re-exam will be conducted under any circumstances.

3. UNIFORM AND DISCIPLINE

  • Uniform is compulsory.
  • Each student of this college must possess Student Identity card with his/her photograph affixed on it, duly attested by the Principal. Students must compulsorily wear Student Identity card inside the college campus. In case of loss of Identity card, for issuing a duplicate identity card students have to submit Rs. 250/- with their passport size photo along with an application.
  • Boys should have neat cropped hair and girls should pin up their hair properly. The use of chains, bangles, wristbands, nose rings, body piercings, tattoos, mehendi, colouring of hair /fancy haircuts etc. is not allowed.
  • Black college shoes and white college socks for both boys and girls are compulsory. College jersey is available. Coloured sweaters are not allowed inside the campus.
  • Mobile phones are not allowed inside the campus. If caught, the gadget will be confiscated and will be returned to parents at the end of the academic year with a fine of Rs.1000.
  • We do not allow the students to bring two wheelers and four wheelers to college. Students are allowed to use Bicycle.

4. PARENT-TEACHER INTERACTIONS

  • Students can meet the teachers between 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. of every working weekday for clearing any doubts. Parents are most welcome to meet the respective teachers for feedback between 2:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m. regarding their child’s progress and conduct.
  • We follow a strict schedule; hence kindly note down the dates of tests/exams, report cards, holidays, etc. and follow it up. Parents are required to check report cards regarding special instructions and remarks after every exam. Parent-teacher meetings will be conducted as scheduled in the calendar.
  • Important communication from the college regarding student’s attendance, curricular and co-curricular activities, PTM and all other information pertaining to the functioning of the college will be sent via text messages to the parents mobile numbers and email.Such communication should be noted by parents.

ROLE OF PARENTS:

  • The process of learning cannot be fully accomplished unless the teachers, parents and students join hands and complement each other.
  • Parent-Teacher Meeting is one of the elements which creates harmonisation, coordination and synchronisation amongst parents and teachers. For all clarifications concerning the students academic performance, either of the parent should accompany the ward to meet the college authorities.
  • Parents must register a permanent mobile number with the college on which SMS and other alerts may be sent. In case of change, parents must notify the changed number in writing within 3 days.
  • Parents/Guardians must immediately inform the college in case there is a change in address.
  • We expect parents and guardians to be cordial and polite with the staff of the college even in the most taxing situations.
  • Apart from the PTM, we expect the parents to be involved and support their child’s education by interacting with the institution on a regular basis.

Please understand that the wholesome development of the student is of utmost importance to the college and all required steps are taken to ensure their safety. However, if any accidents or injuries are sustained by the student while taking part in sports, extra-curricular or any other form of activity, the college will not be held liable in such instances.
