“Success is not final; failure is not fatal; it is the courage to continue that counts”

Career day refers to a day in school where students learn about different careers. CMR National PU college had help up
career day on 23rd November 2019, with the aim that the students learn about different careers and explore fields of
interest. Dr. Tristha Ramamurthy, Vice President, CMR groups of institutions, is passionate and believes in
adopting modern methodology in approaching the student and making them excel in their fields.

We had many experts who had come to share their life experiences of failure and key takeaway for success. The panel discussion was aimed at Choosing a Career Path. This panel explored the journey to successful careers. The discussion probed deeper understanding as in, how does one pick the right career path. What are the factors that influence professional decision making? The types of obstacles one could face when embarking on a journey towards a particular career and how does one overcome them. The panelists were –
1. Amar Nagaram (Chief Executive Officer at Myntra Jabong India Pvt Ltd.)
2. Indra Kumar (GM – Strategy and New Initiative, Wipro GE Healthcare Pvt. Ltd.)
3. Retd. Colonel (Dr) Nawaz Sharif (33 years in the Indian army with deployment in an active role with the Indian Peace Keeping Force in Sri Lanka in hostilities against LTTE. Presently, he is the GM and Chief Veterinarian with People for Animals Bangalore.

The session was great indeed. The panel discussion was all about how to stay passionate about our jobs. Passion is what gives meaning to our lives. It is what allows us to achieve success beyond our wildest imagination. Without adventure
and without taking a risk we can not embrace our goals. We need to understand our impact and should have integrity in
ourselves. By being truthful for ourselves and by being confident in our judgment and decisions makes us successful in
our life. This day helped us to find a career path that we have a passion for.
