Co-Curricular
At CMR National PU College, we seamlessly integrate co-curricular activities into our educational framework, appreciating their essential role in preparing our students for real-world challenges. These activities are designed to complement academic learning by fostering critical skills such as leadership, collaboration, and adaptability. By engaging in diverse co-curricular experiences, students gain a broader perspective and practical insights, equipping them to navigate and excel in various professional and personal contexts with confidence and competence.
Outbound Learning
Our Outbound Learning Program enriches classroom learning by providing real-world experiences. These activities help students grow into well-rounded individuals and develop leadership skills such as empathy, resourcefulness, and adaptability, which are crucial in today’s ever-evolving world. Students benefit from stream-specific field trips during academic hours and educational tours during the summer and Dussehra breaks.
Each trip is age-appropriate, thoughtfully curated, and meticulously planned around themes of experiential learning, adventure, sustainability, and service. These experiences enable students to discover themselves, understand the world around them, and explore the vast opportunities available to them.
Work Exposure Programs
At CMR National PU College, the Work Exposure Programme (WEP) provides students with a valuable opportunity to explore various professional fields and acquire the understanding needed to excel in these careers. Through WEP, students can explore future career paths while gaining transferable skills and knowledge applicable to any line of work. This program offers carefully curated placements where students work in a professional setting for 6-8 weeks, gaining real-time experience in what it takes to succeed in the workplace. They learn to tackle challenges, meet deadlines, and exceed expectations at an early age.
The participating organisations are dynamic and innovative, offering mentorship to young minds. Students who complete WEP internships at CMRNPUC gain an edge when applying for competitive exams or colleges in the future. They also grasp the nuances of a professional environment, including teamwork, time management, discipline, decision-making, and networking.
Wrap Around Programs
Our after-school program offers high-quality, certified sports, arts, and skill-based activities that students can engage in both before and after their academic hours. These activities foster social, emotional, cognitive, and educational growth, promote physical health, and provide a safe and nurturing environment for children and youth.
Students have excellent opportunities to expand their understanding and specialise in their areas of interest through a diverse range of activities. They can learn new skills, explore different talents, and deepen existing expertise. Some of the activities available include basketball coaching, dance, music, karate, public speaking, robotics, coding, and debate.
Service Learning Program
Service learning helps students identify as part of the community and develop civic engagement skills. Apart from the opportunities to work with diverse members of the community and fundraising drives, service learning is a teaching and learning potential that integrates meaningful community service with instruction and a program to teach civic responsibility.
In partnership with their teachers, students identify a cause they would like to focus on. They then plan and execute meaningful activities over the year, such as volunteering with NGOs, fundraising and awareness campaigns that help further the cause. Students develop strong skills and mindsets such as empathy, kindness, growth mindset and adaptability through SLP.
