Our Story

The CMR Group of Institutions, managed by the CMR Jnanadhara Trust, is a renowned educational conglomerate with a rich legacy spanning over 35 years in Bangalore. The group comprises a diverse range of institutes for higher education and schools, catering to a vibrant community of over 20,000 students from more than 60 countries. As part of its commitment to academic excellence, CMR introduced pre-university education, establishing CMR National PU College in 1999. This institution is built on the vision of Sri Chikkamuniyappa Reddy, who believed that education is a powerful catalyst for societal growth and development. Mrs. Madhuri V. Iyer
Principal

Iyer is an accomplished educator and leader with a Master's Degree in Literature and a profound passion for nurturing young minds. Her educational journey began in 2009, driven by a deep commitment to student growth and holistic development. One of her most cherished beliefs is that every student matters. She takes pride in knowing students by their names, fostering meaningful connections, and creating an environment where each learner feels valued, respected, and encouraged to thrive. Having served in three prestigious educational institutions, Ms. Iyer has spent the last twelve years contributing significantly to the Ekya-CMR Group. She began her journey within the organization as an English and Science teacher at Ekya School, JP Nagar. Her dedication and leadership abilities led her to the role of Coordinator at Ekya School, BTM Layout, before she assumed her current position as the Principal of CMR National PU College. Throughout her career, Ms. Iyer has had the privilege of working under able leaders and extraordinary mentors whose guidance and vision have profoundly influenced her approach to education and leadership. Their mentorship has played a pivotal role in shaping her ability to lead with purpose, empathy, and excellence. At the heart of Ms. Iyer's educational philosophy lies an unwavering commitment to students. She firmly believes that students are at the centre of every decision and initiative, and that their success remains the most important measure of an institution's impact. College Timings

Mondays and Tuesdays: 8:00 AM – 3:00 PM
Wednesdays to Saturdays: 8:00 AM – 12:45 PM

Transportation

Buses for the students are run in most of the major routes. Students availing the service have to pay the fee in advance. Students are not allowed to change their bus route on any day without prior information. Buses ply to JP Nagar, Jayanagar, HSR Layout, Bannerghatta Road, Basavangudi, Hoskerahalli, Srinagar, Hanuman Nagar, Talgatpura, Gottigere, Bommanahalli.

School bus facility is extended to places where the college buses do not ply.
