The Department of Information Science & Engineering established in the year 2000, offers a Bachelors Degree programme in Information Science & Engineering under the affiliation of Visvesvaraya Technological University, Belgaum. The department has grown steadily over the years, and the student intake is now 120.
Drawing upon CMRIT’s tradition of teaching excellence, the faculty members and students in the department work closely together in an open, collegial atmosphere. With VTU’s curriculum, the Department places equal emphasis on theoretical and experimental hands-on learning in Information Technology.
Accreditation, Approvals and Recognition:
The Department of Information Science & Engineering is approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), and is permanently affiliated to Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU), Belgaum in Karnataka. The National Board of Accreditation (NBA) has accredited the teaching and learning processes of the department in the year 2008 with re-accreditation in 2012.
